Our AFC Urgent Care Center in South Plainfield provides high quality medical care for a wide variety of acute illnesses and injuries. Acute Illness are typically those of rapid onset, brief and often times, severe in nature. We have state-of-the-art equipment, including digital x-rays and on-site labs, as well as the other resources to address acute medical needs. We treat everything from coughs to colds, cuts to bruises, sprains to fractures, infections to rashes, and much more.
Minor Surgical Procedures
Our board-certified physicians have clinical experience with a variety of minor surgical procedures including suturing lacerations and draining abscesses. Some lacerations (or cuts) must be sutured (or stitched) for them to heal properly.
Need results quickly? Our state-of-the-art laboratory will complete your testing promptly on-site. We provide a wide range of on-site lab testing from hematology to chemistry and much more to facilitate the diagnosis and evaluation of a variety of illnesses. With most results available within minutes, you no longer have to wait days for results. We also provide comprehensive STD screening services.
We diagnose and treat a variety of injuries including sports-related injuries. Some common injuries include sprains, strains, fractures, cuts, bumps, and bruises. Fractures are typically diagnosed with our digital x-ray capability; following which fractures must be set in order for them to heal properly. We have a full array of bandages, splints, casts, braces, canes, and crutches to care for your injury.
Our center performs a variety of physicals including:
- School, Sport, or Camp Physicals – pre-participation exams required by many school districts, sports organizations, and summer camps.
- DOT Physicals – a physical exam commercial drivers need to complete before a commercial driver’s license may be issued or renewed as required by the Department of Transportation (DOT).
- Immigration Physicals – required for anyone applying for citizenship, permanent residence, or a green card. Immigration physicals may only be performed by a registered USCIS designated civil surgeon.
